LEMOORE – The Lemoore College women's volleyball team bounced back from a pair of losses to win two matches at home on Friday. The Golden Eagles opened the day with a 3-1 win over Cerro Coso College and followed it up with another 3-1 victory against West Valley College.
Ella Jackson led the Golden Eagles with 11 kills and 6 total blocks in Lemoore's 25-14, 17-25, 26-24, 25-23 win vs. Cerro Coso. Olivia Nourian added 10 kills while Emily Ramirez contributed 8 kills and 5 aces.
Kyana Rivera had a team-high 29 assists, Mhaycel De La Cruz led with 13 digs, and Adrianne Davis chipped in with 12 digs.
Lemoore dropped the opening set to West Valley but was able to rally for a hard-fought 16-25, 26-24, 25-10, 25-19 triumph.
This time, Nourian led the Golden Eagles' attack with 14 kills, Ramirez had 13 kills, while Jackson posted 12 kills.
Rivera set a new a season-high with 26 assists and Davis had a team-best 19 digs.
With the wins, Lemoore moved to 8-3 overall. The Golden Eagles are back in action on September 17 to take on Butte College in Oroville.
