Rael, Nuno lead Golden Eagles to second place finish at Chabot PST Invitational
HAYWARD – The Lemoore College wrestling team put together one of its finest efforts of the season and totaled 97.5 points to finish in second place out of 12 teams at Chabot College's PST Invitational.
Led by first-place finishes by Robbie Rael and Juan Nuno, the Golden Eagles had six wrestlers place among the competition's top-four.
"It was a great weekend overall with two individual champions and strong performances across the board," said Lemoore head coach Marcio Botelho. "I'm proud of the team's grit and continued improvement."
In the 165-pound final, Rael won by decision over Calin Capra of Sacramento City College, 9-8. And at 174, Nuno, competing down for the first time at this weight, dominated Rosalio Leal from Modesto Junior College 18-7 in the finals.

Up next for the Golden Eagles in the Southern California Regional Championships that will be hosted by Lemoore College. The event is set for Dec. 6 at Golden Eagle Arena.
